When you visit us don’t miss Te Waihou Walk and the internationally acclaimed Blue Spring!  While you are in town check out the Putaruru Water Park.  Walk among the 5000 native plants, the two large amazing mosaics depict the beauty of Te Waihou River and the famous Blue Spring!  If you are into fishing – Putaruru is your dream – more than 20 trout packed rivers within a 20km radius!

Timber Heritage
Dotted throughout the streets of the central business district is our Mosaic Pavement Art Trail.  Each of the pieces a work of art!  Take a walk through the arboretum to the lookout…  or you can hop into your car and take a drive to Te Waotu to see the Robins or to Arapuni and cross the swing bridge (both approx 15 min drives).  Then there is the Timber Museum, the Okoroire Hot Springs, Tirau, Lake Arapuni… the list goes on and on…
